Drew’s story

Drew Pournelle is a versatile, classically trained tenor and dynamic live entertainer with more than 20 years of professional experience on stages across the United States and around the world. His career began in musical theatre in New York City, where he performed in productions and touring shows before expanding into concerts, cruise entertainment, and contemporary live performance.

Drew is currently the front man and creator of Vinyl Velocity, a high-energy concert experience celebrating the greatest hits of the 1960s through the 1980s. His powerful voice, charismatic stage presence, theatrical instincts, and ability to move effortlessly between genres allow him to connect with a wide variety of audiences.

He has performed in famed concert halls across North America, Europe, and Asia, opened for country music star Sara Evans, and shared the stage with revered artists including Sandi Patty and The Osmonds. His experience as a cruise entertainer has taken him around the world, performing for audiences from intimate venues to large-scale ship theaters.

Originally from a rural town in the southeastern United States, Drew is always thankful to be on stage—whether that means performing in New York City, on a cruise ship, in Branson, Missouri, or in his parents’ living room in Soperton, Georgia.
